About Dawn Dawn became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2017. Her team sports experience, as a Registered Ontario Athletic Therapist (Reg.AT-ON), has been with Ontario Rugby, Men’s and Women’s Hockey, Football, and with Skate Canada. Dawn’s practice skills include strength and conditioning, therapeutic exercise, assessment and management of acute injuries both on the field and in clinical settings, concussion testing, care and management, and all aspects of the AT scope of practice. Dawn is highly motivated and passionately committed to the advancement of the AT profession. |
She has academic training and credentials in health sciences, sport psychology, as well as in Athletic Therapy. She has excellent references from within the sports medicine sector in Ontario, including provincial sport organizations. Her focus as a Director is in establishing and developing good relationships with professional colleagues and furthering the many valuable partnerships within sports medicine to advance the profession. Dawn contributes to the OSTA Board and to the profession by assisting in the collective efforts to raise the AT professional profile and in promoting the importance of the AT role in proper concussion care and management. The Association is pleased she has accepted the role as the Athletic Therapy Ontario HEALTH IN MOTION podcast anchor and host. |
